I purchased this book in lue of the edition that was currently being used in my class in the middle of the semester. It served me well. I have an A average in the course! It was delivered in a quick and timely fashion. And the rating of the books condition was very accurate. It was in great shape for a used book and the price was right in line with a very strained budget. I will definately order from this vendor again. In short I was super pleased witht the overall transaction. This is the explination for the 5 star rating I have given this purchase choice. The alternative to this purchase was the newest edition of this book at a selling price of $175 in the campus book store. I got my great book in great condition for about $13 bucks after shipping! So I guess you can be the judge…Happy Shopping!!!

I was told that the book was in mint condition. When I recieved the book in the mail, there was something spilt on the inside of the book causing the pages to stick together and a lot of the words to be transfered from page to page. Not to mention the book smells horid. At the moment i am searching for a way to get a refund and return the book. I am very upset with the seller!

Very well written and well formatted textbook. Highly recommended for any Criminal Justice student. Next edition to come out in January 2009.
